Location
THE BURGUNDY REGION
The village of La Motte-Ternant is on the edge of the beautiful Morvan Park a land of rivers, lakes and forests, a land of Celtic mythology, a land of history.
Burgundy has a wonderful combination of wealthy vineyards (the Côte d'Or being one of the world's most important wine regions) historic towns and Romanesque architecture. It is also known as the gastronomic and wine capital of France and it certainly lives up to its name. Local bistros and Michelin starred restaurants (e.g. Bernard Loiseau's celebrated Côte d'Or in nearby Saulieu) sit side by side in picture postcard villages. | |
Visit the Saturday markets in Dijon, Beaune, Avallon or Autun, the beautiful basilica of Vézelay, Fontenay Abbey or some of the many chateaux or some of the pretty villages such as Flavigny-sur-Ozerain (setting for the film 'Chocolat').
